The Company
Reliv International was founded in 1988 by Robert and Sandy Montgomery and their vision to create a business that would give people control.  The vision and plan came from a friendship with a well known micro biologist Dr Theodore Kalogris.  Dr. Ted had developed a product and formula that would deliver a days nutrition in a form that was absorb-able.
In 1988 a team of people came together to create a foundation and leadership that would help the company bring its mission around the world.  The mission, Nourish our world.  Currently, the company has expanded into 14 countries and is focusing on future growth.
The Products
Reliv International has several product lines within the health and nutritional supplement industry.  The three core lines of product are essential nutrition, weight loss and targeted solutions.
Within the essential of Reliv International products are Reliv Classic and Now.  These are foundational health supplements.
The weight loss line combines the latest advances in dietary science into an actual weight loss plan.  This plan is called simplicity.
The targeted solutions line of products focuses on specific conditions and goals such as: Blood sugar management, Digestive Health, Energy, Womens Health, Joint Health, Kids Health, Heart Health and Anti Aging.
The Compensation Plan
Reliv International is part of the home based business industry which allows people to start a business from home.  To become  distributor you must apply for $39.95.  Once  a distributor you are can buy the product at wholesale and sell retail.  You can buy the product at a 20%-40% discount rate based on your qualification.
You also make the difference that your personally sponsored do not qualify for.  For example, your new person gets 25% discount, you get 40% you will earn the difference of profit when your new person sells, until they are at your same level.  Then they break away and you will make commission on the entire group of the person that broke away.  The overrides are based on monthly group volume you earn 8% on your first level, 6% on your second level, 4% on your third level, 3% on your fourth level, 2% on your fifth level.
The problem with this type of compensation plan is it is based on levels and you build with to capture depth.  This creates competition amongst people.  In addition, if a leader shows up 15 levels down you are not qualified for that volume.  To earn income on additional levels you must qualify.
