Relìv International Named As Finalist In the American Business Awards

Relìv International is a finalist for a Stevie® Award for the Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year. In addition to providing free nutritional supplements to 42,000 malnourished individuals, mostly children, every day in 10 countries, the Relìv Kalogris Foundation has built and furnished three feeding centers for children in the Philippines and Haiti.

CHESTERFIELD, Mo., June 8, 2009 – Relìv International, Inc. (NASDAQ:RELV) was named a finalist for a 2009 American Business Award, known as a Stevie® Award. Relìv received a finalist nomination for the Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year award in recognition for the work of the Relìv Kalogris Foundation.

Since January 2008, the Relìv Kalogris Foundation has built and furnished three combination feeding centers and schools for malnourished children in the Philippines and Haiti. A fourth feeding center/school is scheduled to be dedicated in Haiti in early June.

“The Relìv Kalogris Foundation provides free nutritional supplements to more than 42,000 people, mostly children, every day,” said R. Scott Montgomery, chairman of the Relìv Foundation. “Last year, the foundation expanded its activities from supplying free nutritional supplements to include building feeding centers in parts of the world with the greatest need.”

Montgomery added, “The Relìv Foundation this year also started supplying free bio-sand water filters to its feeding programs in Haiti. Less than half the population in Haiti has potable water, according to the World Health Organization. The filters will allow the feeding centers to use clean water to make their 5,000 Relìv nutritional shakes a day as well as provide clean drinking water throughout the day.

“Relìv’s 68,000 independent distributors have donated funds to the foundation for the last 14 years, and we are particularly proud to see their generosity recognized by this Stevie Award finalist nomination,” Montgomery said.

The American Business Awards are the nation’s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S. are eligible to submit entries to the ABAs – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small.

The winners will be announced on June 22 in New York. More than 2,600 entries from companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration in more than 40 categories. This year marks the seventh annual Stevie Awards.
